Insurance you may have never thought about

Sewer backups from floods and massive weekend storms can be a real problem. Most business and homeowner insurance policies don’t include coverage for sewer backups unless they are purchased on a separate (and expensive) rider. Nationally only about 20% of people have this protection.

We offer a sewer clean-out/back-flow prevention device that can save you when a backup occurs. The “Sewur Valve” (stock # 17116 for the housing and # 17114 for the plunger) greatly reduces the risk of sewage back-flow into your business or residence, and provides easy access for emergency clean-out.

The valve is designed for installation in a 4" sewer drain line. For easy access, place a separate 4" pipe from ground level to the top portion of the valve. The access pipe makes it easy to close the valve in case of a storm or hurricane, or to use the clean-out feature. You can also use this valve to disconnect lines for delinquent payment to service providers. See page 1334 of the 118 USABlueBook Catalog for more information on this valve.
