| I need to control my chemical feed pump to keep my pH in range. Which analyzer should I use? |
| The best way to operate a chemical feed pump is to use a 4-20 mA signal to control the pump’s speed. The farther away from the set point the process is, the faster the pump runs. As the process approaches the set point, the pump slows down. All of our products labeled “Analyzer” have at least one 4-20 mA output. This output can be scaled to control an Acid or Caustic pump. Or, two 4-20 mA signals can control two pumps. This method provides the most efficient use of your process chemicals & often saves big money over an on/off relay system! |
| If your chemical feed pump won’t accept a 4-20 mA signal, you can switch it on & off with a relay. As your process pH moves above (or below) the set point, the relay will turn on the Acid (or Caustic) pump. Two relays can control two pumps. |
