Bio-Neutralizer tablets are a low cost and effective chemical used to reduce available chlorine in disinfected wastewater effluent. Suitable for use in commonly available tablet feeders, Bio-Neutralizer tablets will assist operators of packaged treatment plants to consistently meet the non-detectable chlorine level specified in many new or renewed NPDES permits.
Containing 35% sodium sulfite, each Bio-Neutralizer tablet is 2-5/8"dia by 13/16", with a weight of 140 g. The tablets dissolve in a very slow and consistent manner, regardless of peak or fluctuating flow rates. Due to this reliable, predictable erosion rate, chlorine removal can be readily adjusted for optimum operation and efficiency.
Many types of dechlorination systems involve extensive retrofit of the chlorine contact tank and the installation of sulphur dioxide gas systems. While this type of treatment is proper for larger facilities, capital cost and maintenance requirements make it prohibitive for smaller wastewater plants. Bio-Neutralizer tablets are an effective and much less costly way to quickly eliminate available chlorine while still meeting NPDES permit requirements. Comes in a 45 lb pail.
