Simplify the recording and monitoring of flow, pressure, level, turbidity or pH data in your water or wastewater treatment plant by using Telog’s R-31 series data recorders. For example, you can monitor peak demand on rolling intervals or totalize flow over any time period. The battery-operated recorders sample an analog signal output from a variety of transmitters and store them in a solid-state wraparound memory.

Installation, set-up and operation of the recorder is simple. First, commission the data recorder by connecting it to a PC that is running PCL Telogers Lite software. Set information such as recorder name by location, sample rates, recording intervals and label (flow, pressure, etc.), then place the recorder wherever your transmitters are located. After recording your process’ data, re-connect the data recorder to your PC to download your recorded data to your PC, where you can then analyze your data, generate reports or archive data. An optional Palm Pilot Transfer Unit is available, which allows you to use a Palm PDA loaded with special software to monitor and/or download data in the field and then transfer it to your PC; contact USABlueBook for more information.

When data averages are selected as part of the statistical analysis program, two types of data can be computed; period and cumulative totals. The recorders store over 80,000 data points and allow you to set the sample and interval period. One example is flow measurement; you could configure the recorder to sample flow at 5 seconds intervals and to save to memory the minimum, maximum and average flow rate values at 10-minute intervals. The recorders contain long-lasting batteries (5-year life), which free you from any site requirements for wires and conduits. Telogers for Windows software is required.
