The general rule of thumb for wash down nozzles is to select a nozzle one or two sizes smaller than your supply line. For example if you have a 1-1/2" supply line, use a 1" or 3/4" nozzle. If you want to use a nozzle the same size as your supply line to wash down faster or if your water pressure is under 55 psi you will want to consider using a booster pump at the plant.
