Our USABlueBook HFD is accurate, easy to operate, and easy to transport. You won’t find better value in a flowtester/diffuser anywhere. The aluminum barrel sets the pitot tube in the correct position and standardizes the hydrant nozzle flow coefficient for ALL hydrants. You can replace the pitot tube if it is damaged.

The gauge is mounted using a combination bleeder valve/quick disconnect fitting, which lets you rotate the gauge to any position for easy reading plus remove the gauge when transporting to prevent damage. Dual scale readout shows psi and corresponding gpm values for a 2-1/2" nozzle with 0.845 flow coefficient. This corresponds to test results made on the barrel assembly by Underwriters Laboratories®. Flow tube range is 500 to 1860 gpm (10 to 140 psi)

The 30° elbow with swivel connection lets you direct flow while keeping the pressure gauge in the optimum position for easy reading. You can screw the diffuser screen on to the end of either the elbow or the straight tube assembly, which enhances water diffusion and prevents rocks from being discharged with the water stream without creating noticeable backpressure.
