Nalgene storm water samplers are easy-to-use, affordable devices for collecting quarterly storm water grab samples in compliance with EPA storm water sampling guidelines. The Nalgene storm water sampler collects a 1-liter grab sample of first flush (first 30 minutes of flow) of storm water through a creek, stream, storm water ditch or storm gate outfall. The sampler automatically collects the sample into a Nalgene bottle, shutting off after the bottle is full to prevent cross-contamination.
Simply position the sampler in the sampling area at a convenient time prior to the rain event. Then, retrieve the sampler after the rain has ended. The mounting kit also lets you position the sampler in a stream, drainage ditch or storm grate to collect the first 30 minutes of flow after a rain event.
Choose an HDPE sample bottle for inorganic analysis, or an amber glass sample bottle for organic analysis. Bottles are designed for single-use sampling. Order reusable sampler mounting kit separately.
