This valve's full port, normally open design assures zero flow restriction comparable to straight pipe, protecting homes and buildings from sewage backflow. The unique design allows the sewer system to vent any gases caused by positive or negative pressure in the sewer line. If rodding from the stack is necessary, the snake easily passes through the valve over the open gate and retracts without harming components. For positive sealing, an O-ring seal is mounted in the body, not the gate, so it's protected from impact or material buildup. The valve should be installed at 2% minimum grade without any branches within 2' of the inlet to assure laminar flow.
PVC housing features a clear polycarbonate top for visual inspection without removing the cover. ABS valve bodies are available on special order. The cover also has a 4" cleanout plug for access with a sewer tape. It is held in place with stainless steel bolts and a sealing gasket.
The optional plastic access box makes clean installation easy and allows for valve access.
