Provides accurate readings every 20 minutes
Supports monitoring for your Nitrification Action Plan
The MCX Monochloramine Analyzer measures, logs and displays the concentration of monochloramine and ammonia in water samples. Ideal for water plants that use chloramination for disinfection, it uses the modified phenate method to test for monochloramine and total ammonia, and calculates free ammonia.
The analyzer takes samples of the process stream of water at user-adjustable intervals and shows readings on its large display. Readings are also accessible remotely via built-in Modbus RS-485 communication and 4-20 mA outputs (one each for monochloramine, total ammonia and free ammonia). Two user-programmable relay outputs let you select one of four alarm states: error, warning, end of cycle or reaction complete. A micro-USB port allows you to download readings and error logs.
The MCX analyzer requires a set of three reagents for operation. The reagent kit (sold separately below) includes Chlorination Solution (red), Indicator Solution (yellow) and Buffer Solution (blue). Reagents typically last for 30 days of continuous operation for easy maintenance.
All operating components and reagents are housed within a metallic NEMA 4X enclosure panel. The enclosure features four mounting tabs for wall mounting. An indoor location is recommended. Unit features cable glands for electrical connections, and two simple plumbing push-to-connect fittings for the sample inlet and drain outlet.
Note: Due to variability in applications, please contact our Technical Specialists prior to purchase. They will ensure all necessary application details are covered, including the potential need for on-site factory commissioning and training.

The sample inlet stream sequencer (stock # 403163) allows the MCX analyzer to measure an additional water source sample line—great for rechloramination applications that must account for both incoming and outgoing water. Sequencer connects to the MCX’s mA analog outputs.
Use the drain diverter system (stock # 403164) to capture used sample stream fluid when no waste drain is available. This is useful in remote installations without sanitary drains on site. The drain diverter mounts in its own satellite enclosure, and includes solenoids to switch from sample water flow to used sample fluid.
