Use Sperian Industrial SCBAs in non-fire environments that are immediately dangerous to life and health (IDLH). This includes chlorine, manhole/confined space and hazmat situations. They provide maximum safety with minimal cost of ownership. Choose from two models.
The Cougar SCBA's comfortable silicone facemask offers an excellent seal on almost any face shape. The nose cup allows easy breathing in standby mode without blowing air into your eyes. The Puma SCBA features a multi-layered polypropylene hood instead of a facemask—ideal for people with glasses or beards. The hood features a low-distortion, high-visibility PVC lens, a flexible neoprene neck seal, and a factory-installed silicone nose cup to reduce fogging and CO² build-up in the hood.
Both Cougar and Puma SCBAs feature a refillable, low-pressure, 2216-psi, 30-minute, aluminum cylinder. Their first-stage regulator attaches directly to the cylinder valve, eliminating the need for a high pressure hose. Their second-stage, low-profile regulator attaches to the facemask quickly and easily in any orientation. Each unit features a Mighty-Light® backpack with hinged hip wings for a comfortable secure fit, and a front-release buckle for fast on and off.
Both SCBAs weigh 30 lbs. NIOSH certified and OSHA compliant.
