Product Details
  • Enables immediate plug-and-play equipment changeouts
  • Combines the functionality of a switch with the convenience of a plug and receptacle
  • Ensure safety while reducing equipment, labor and electrician costs
  • Use with receptacles and accessories

This plug is part of the Meltric system of switch-rated plugs and receptacles. The system lets you safely make and break electrical connections without an electrician on site, even while under full load. A great alternative to hard-wiring equipment, these innovative connectors meet NEC "line of sight" disconnect requirements and are UL and CSA rated for motor and branch circuit disconnect switching. They also meet the NFPA 70E definition of "Normal Operation"—no need for arc flash PPE.

Plugs and receptacles (sold separately) feature a universal design that allows for wiring to any equipment or machinery in the plant and field—ideal for aeration mixers, pumps, motors or towable lift station generators. Once wired, they provide fast, safe and easy disconnection without the need for an electrician on site. Simply press a pawl at the connection to break the circuit; then rotate the plug a quarter-turn to remove it from the receptacle. When the plug and receptacle are separated, a safety shutter prevents access to live parts. An integral lockout/tagout hole on the plug accepts a padlock.

Spring-loaded silver-nickel butt-style contacts provide consistently superior electrical performance for thousands of operations. Contacts are resistant to the wear, corrosion and oxidation that cause pin-and-sleeve devices to fail. Plugs and receptacles feature impact- and UV-resistant fiberglass-reinforced thermoplastic polyester housings and watertight NEMA 4X/IP69K construction, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Note: This product is a male plug component only (required receptacle and accessories are sold separately). Male plug serves as a replacement part or for pre-wiring of standby equipment, such as pumps, mixers, and motors.

Tech Specs:
  • Amps: 20
  • HP: 2
  • Voltage: 250 VAC
  • Phase: 3
  • Pins: 3 Pole + Ground
