ROOTS positive displacement blowers are used extensively in wastewater treatment plants worldwide. The Universal RAI Series provides versatility and rugged construction, making it especially desirable for wastewater aeration applications.
All URAI blowers share common design features that are original to ROOTS and have been continually developed from years of field experience. The casing, headplates, and dynamically balanced impellers are machined from cast iron. Alloy steel timing gears are center timed to allow clockwise or counterclockwise rotation and are taper mounted to alloy steel shafts with lock nuts for press-fit performance. Oversized anti-friction bearings, along with a cylindrical roller bearing at the drive shaft, help withstand V-belt pull. Blowers can be mounted in any of four positions by simply moving the bolt-on feet from one position on the case to another and relocating lubrication fill, drain and breather locations.
Standard URAI blowers have oil lube on the gear end and grease lube on the drive end. URAI and URAI-DSL blowers have identical mounting configurations and are completely interchangeable with one another.
Repair kits are available; sold separately. They include all the necessary bearings, gaskets and seals to maintain your blower. Available with or without replacement gears.
The ROOTS conditional factory warranty is the strongest in the industry, and covers defects in materials and workmanship for 24 months after date of installation, or 30 months from date of original shipment, whichever comes first.
