  • If your shaft alignment is done by "eyeballing it," this is the coupling you need!

A complete coupling consists of two coupling halves and one insert. Series 3 and 4 coupling halves are zinc alloy and Series 5 and up are steel.

STEP 1 – Select the coupling series that matches your motor hp and rpm. See "Catalog Page" link to the right for details.

STEP 2 – Select two coupling halves of the correct series having the proper bore size(s). Prices are based on factory stock sizes. Machining of non-stock sizes is extra. When you call, ask our customer service representative to confirm that the size you want is a standard size. Specify the required bore size for each half. Confirm that your key way size is standard before ordering.

STEP 3 – Select one insert of the same coupling series. Standard inserts are made of EPDM which will handle temperatures from -30 to 275 degrees F. We offer both solid and split styles. Hytrel Couplings are designed for high-torque applications. They are not to be used as direct replacements for EPDM inserts.

Note: The first digit of Wood's part number indicates coupling series.
