Raco's Guard-It provides you with flexible features for dependable alarm autodialing and remote monitoring. Each of the 4 input channels is configurable for analog or digital signal input. It is field configurable at the control panel via a standard touch-tone phone handset. Upon detection of an alarm condition, Guard-It automatically calls a list of up to 8 pre-programmed phone numbers over the standard dial-up telephone connection. In addition to standard phones in office or plant, the alarm calling sequence can also include calls to pagers, cellular phones and voice mail. The system reports the station identity and the specific alarm condition in a digitally pre-recorded voice message.

After receiving the phone call, the person being called acknowledges the alarm simply by pressing a touch-tone phone key. When receiving an alarm phone call, a built-in microphone lets you listen for background sounds at the site. The user can also call in to the system for a status report of all points being monitored. The voice transmission consists of a station identification together with an alarm message giving details on the fault (station identification and alarm messages are digitally recorded by the user).

System set-up and voice recording is accomplished via your external touch tone phone handset (not included) which plugs into a standard phone jack on the system's front panel. Front panel LED indicators provide system operating status.
