The Steam Chief quickly melts ice and safely restores frozen, out-of-service fire hydrants to normal operation. Built-in features include a water level sight gauge, ASME pop safety valve with flow down outlet, pressure gauge, built-in gas burner and fill cap.
With a net weight of 39 lbs and one-piece steel construction, the Steam Chief offers portability and strength not found in other units. Its 100,000 BTU built-in propane burner creates 12 to 14 lbs of steam pressure in approximately 6 minutes in temperatures above 20°.
Includes: 3/8" ID x 12'L high-temperature steam hose, offset hydrant steamer nozzle, 10' propane gas hose with preset regulator and manual.
