The Raven centrifuge is specifically designed to estimate suspended solids concentration in samples taken from any part of the treatment plant. An industry standard for years, use to obtain quick, reliable estimates of the concentration of mixed liquors from aeration basins, return sludge from clarifiers, and waste sludge removed from activated sludge systems.
Constructed of stainless steel and aluminum, this centrifuge is designed for dirty environments. It operates at a single speed of 3000 rpm and has an electronic timer and digital display with a 15-minute speed key.
The horizontal swing-out rotor provides a horizontal line marking the precise sludge percentage. Other units commonly spin at a 45º angle, leaving a sloped line that is difficult to interpret.
Includes: six 19-mm diameter polycarbonate centrifuge tubes graduated in % from less than 1% up to 100% (0.2% to 100%).
