A pre-sterilized, disposable, polystyrene filter unit complete with a 47 mm, 0.45 um cellulose nitrate membrane which conforms to APHA Standard Methods for water quality work. Caps are 100 mL and receivers are graduated from 20 to 115 mL. Color is white with green grid. Simply tear open bag that contains the unit. Fill funnel with sample and apply vacuum. Once you've filtered your sample in accordance with Standard Methods procedures, unscrew the funnel. Using sterilized filter forceps (stock # 31310) remove the membrane, place it into a sterile petri dish (stock # 38104) and incubate. When incubation period is complete, record number of colonies.
