Hach prepared media eliminate the measuring, mixing, and autoclaving needed when preparing dehydrated media. Ampoules are designed with large openings that allow media to pour out easily. Each ampoule contains enough media for one test. Select the media type that is appropriate for detecting total coliform, fecal coliform or E. coli. Colonies that grow on presumptive media may need to be confirmed to meet reporting regulations.
m-FC with rosolic acid is used to increase specificity for fecal coliform in non-potable water when high levels of non-coliform bacteria may be present. Do not use if the organisms are stressed or injured.
All items require refrigeration upon receipt.
