  • Fast assembly—no pins!
  • OSHA compliant for all soils
  • PE Certified

The TUFFGUY Box from Kundel Industries uses a design based on real world engineering. The result is a lightweight box to do a "big box" job! Fast and easy assembly: The TUFFGUY box has fewer parts! Components can be lifted and assembled by hand with NO PINS! Aluminum panels come 2' high and in various lengths. The drop-on end panels are constructed of steel, providing extra strength right where you need it. Systems stack easily right in the trench! (Typical depth rating: A soil = 31', B soil = 17', C soil = 13'. Call USABlueBook for specific depth ratings).

Easy and compact storage. An easy break-down design saves room for storage—allowing you to transport your TUFFGUY on the same trailer as your excavator or in the back of your pick-up.

Drop-on end panel kits. Drop-ons are panel systems used to close off the open end of your TUFFGUY Box. This concept was developed by Kundel Industries in order to meet the needs of the real work environment. Assembled from TUFFGUY panels and drop-on brackets, drop-ons allow you the ability to close off the ends after the shield is in the ground. No more need for awkward, rigid 3- and 4-sided systems which are hard to assemble and virtually impossible to lift. This system also allows for access where you need it whether it is the top, middle or bottom. This provides protection while allowing clearance for a variety of utilities entering from all directions. Drop-ons are sold separately for each end. The price includes the necessary panels and hardware needed to assemble 1 drop-on.

Spreaders and spreader adjusters. Standard steel pipe spreaders are 3" in diameter and up to 96" in length. Optional adjustable spreaders can be used in conjunction with fixed spreaders to provide width adjustment up to 24" in 6" increments. It's like having four sets of spreaders in one. Adjustable spreaders are available for 30" or larger spreaders.

Stacking connection systems. These provide a fast and easy way to connect two TUFFGUY boxes together for deeper trench work. They also allow you to move two boxes at the same time. Stacking system includes a set of 4 connectors.

TUFFGUY kits include 2 panels, panel connectors and hardware to assemble two complete sidewalls. Spreaders and adjustable spreaders are sold separately.
