The Manning PSB peristaltic sampler is ideal for basic composite-only sampling. Its waterproof impact- and corrosion-resistant case stands up to nearly any sampling conditions and is backed by a 1-year warranty. At only 20 lbs (with battery and empty bottle), it can be easily transported to any sampling location. For hanging in manholes and other tight spaces, an optional suspension harness is available.
Unlike other samplers in its price range, the PSB delivers consistent and accurate sample volumes by using a precision sampling pump coupled with sophisticated software. The pump easily meets EPA criteria for representative intake velocities, and is constructed of advanced thermoplastics to resist corrosion and ensure rigidity. The rollers and tubing of each pump can be visually inspected without taking the pump apart. To reduce maintenance and replacement costs, the 1/4" ID pump uses Pharmed® tubing. The PSB outperforms other peristaltic brands by delivering consistent and accurate sample volumes even with changing head heights.
The PSB's controller is easy to set up, even in the dark! It offers advanced features such as datalogging, review of settings and operating status, and a variety of flow- and time-based operating modes. Simple prompts and a 24-button keypad, including shortcut keys, save time by avoiding frustrating navigation through long, complicated menus.
Sample programming includes but not limited to: flow proportional pacing (contact closure), flow pacing with time override, flow pacing with delay sampling, flow pacing with maintained event sampling, uniform and non-uniform time intervals, multiple samples per bottle, sampling based on external input device, program delay (time or flow), stormwater sampling, datalogging (512 event capacity).
Maximum lift of 28 ft. Transport velocity of 2.3 ft/sec @ 5 ft of lift. Sample volume is programmed directly in 1-mL increments. Accurate to ±5 mL or 5% typical of pre-set volume (whichever is greater). ±5% repeatability of the volume in a sample set. Features non-contacting ultrasonic liquid sensor. Internal clock indicates real time with ±1 minute per month accuracy. Also features 5-year lithium backup battery to maintain program logic, RAM, and clock.
Includes: 12-VDC battery, 110/220-VAC battery charger, contact closure input, ultrasonic liquid sensor, 2-gallon square plastic bottle, 25 feet of 1/4" PVC tubing and PVC strainer.
