Use the 6000 HMB with built-in backflow preventer to measure potable water from fire hydrants or other non-permanent installations with singledirection flow. The 3" BADGER meter has a high-strength aluminum body and meets or exceeds standards set forth in AWWA Standard C701. Meter registration is 100,000,000 with 100 gallons per sweep hand revolution. The 2-1/2" NST inlet swivel connection contains a built-in screen to protect the meter from damage by stones or large particles.
The backflow preventer incorporates an RPZ design for maximum system protection, which means the unit will release to atmosphere if the differential pressure is not maintained at all times. A 3" gate valve with a 21/2" NST(M) discharge connection is mounted on the discharge end of the backflow preventer. Adapters for other thread types and sizes can be provided.
The AMES 6000 HMB mounts directly to 21/2" NST hydrant connections. A built-in support arm folds down and rests against the base of the hydrant for additional vertical stability. Registers in cubic feet or cubic meters are available as special order. Contact USABlueBook for more information.
