They include a certificate that shows their calibration points with correction factors—thermometers are NIST traceable at these points. These non-mercury glass thermometers feature permanent markings and a colored liquid fill. Blue ACCU-SAFE fill is nontoxic and biodegradable, and is set against a white background for ease of reading. Each thermometer comes in a felt-lined protective case.
Immersion indicates how much of the thermometer needs to be immersed into the temperature controlled space, starting at the tip of the bulb. Total means it needs to be immersed to the top of the liquid column.
