Supercharge Mother Nature's own bioremediation process for oil spills and other contaminated areas. These microbes rapidly eat oil and organic waste, and break them down into harmless byproducts. They greatly speed up the rate of natural degradation. Use to remediate oil on land or in water, in grease traps, septic tanks, storm drains, or any other areas where contaminants are present.
Ultra-Microbes are shipped in a dormant bentonite clay-based powder. Once dissolved in water, the microbes quickly reproduce. They last up to 90 days, or until they have been deprived of water, oxygen or a food source. Range for microbe storage and use is 40 to 120°F and pH 5.5 to 9.5—they are ineffective outside these ranges. Radiation renders them ineffective as well.
Ultra-Microbe Mini Booms consist of a polyethylene sleeve with slits into which microbe tablets are inserted. Once in contact with water, the tablets dissolve and release the microbes. The sleeves contain treated foam that lets the booms float on the water's surface while also absorbing oil. Either drop or tie off booms into catch basins or other drains where oily water collects. Booms include a lanyard.
