Product Details
  • Measure fluoride ion levels in clean/drinking water quickly, accurately and economically
  • Automatic temperature compensation with separate displayed reading and dedicated analog output signal
  • Limited maintenance needs and low reagent usage allow installation in remote monitoring applications

The Orion 2109XP fluoride analyzer fulfills requirements of the Standard Test Method for Fluoride Ion in Water (ASTM D 1179-04). It provides the highest quality fluoride measurements for drinking water required by the Safe Drinking Water Act (1974), which requires fluoride levels between 1.4 and 2.4 ppm.

Choose from two models: a standard instrument with a convenient flat panel mounting assembly, or an instrument housed in a waterproof NEMA 4X/IP66 enclosure. Both feature a backlit LCD display that shows millivolt values, fluoride concentration in ppb or ppm, and temperature. For ease of installation and retrofits, the Orion 2109XP fits the same panel mounting footprint of the Orion 1809AO fluoride analyzer.

Analyzer setup is easy. Just connect a dedicated water sample line to the 1/4" NPT inlet. The water sample passes through a flow cell containing long-life reference and ion selective electrodes (ISE), and a temperature compensating probe. Formic acid reagent is added to the loop to stabilize the pH and ensure proper sample conditioning and accuracy, especially at the lowest fluoride levels. Water that has been analyzed is sent through a 3/4" NPT drain connection. Three programmable relay alarm outputs and two scalable analog outputs let you send fluoride and temperature data to external devices like data loggers, PLCs and other interfaced instrumentation.

The password-protected user intuitive interface has a scrolling marquee display for easy viewing of setup instructions and error messages. Easily recall detailed calibration, measurement and diagnostic logs. You can recall up to twelve previous calibrations, and set calibration prompts to alert you when it's time to recalibrate. Monthly DKA (Double Known Addition) calibration is quick and accurate. It simply uses a pipette to inject two known standards into the sample flow cell. The 2109XP also allows one-point calibration—simply take a sample from the bypass and test in the laboratory.

Analyzer requires formic acid reagent (stock # 22134) and a calibration standards kit (stock # 22133). The 60-day supply of reagent includes diffusion tubing and O-rings. The calibration standards kit includes pipettes, fluoride standards, bottles and a carrying case. The annual consumable kit (stock # 22136) is not required for a new analyzer, but should be used once a year to maintain maximum system accuracy and stability. Kit includes empty 1-Liter bottles for use with formic acid reagent, new tubing, O-rings, fluoride standard solution kit, fluoride electrode, reference electrode & fill solution, check valve, pipette tips, restriction tube assembly, and inlet filter with gaskets. Alternate kit (stock # 22135) includes all of the above as well as liquid formic acid reagent.

Shipping: Ships by ground only.
