Polycarbonate enclosures offer many of the same advantages as fiberglass, such as excellent chemical and corrosion resistance and ease of drilling, but are even lighter weight than fiberglass and cost less. 

While not as rigid as fiberglass, polycarbonate enclosures add installation-friendly features such as multidirectional mounting feet and mounting dimensions molded into the enclosure base. The mounting feet also allow an air gap or barrier between the enclosure and a warm machine or surface to prevent overheating.
