Need to make permanent cold water line system connections involving different pipe materials or pipe sizes? These couplings are a great solution! Each fitting adjusts up to 0.400" (approx. 3/8") from minimum to maximum opening. Perfect for older water delivery systems where pipes aren't uniform in age or materials. Couplings can even connect slightly deformed or oval pipe. Fittings conform to NSF/ANSI 61 and ANSI/AWWA C800 standards.
Installation is quick and simple. Make a clean cut on the end of the pipe and insert it into the coupling up to the stopping point. Tighten the hex nut to proper torque to seat the polymer gripper assembly. Internal seals made of NSF-grade EPDM provide 300 PSI working pressure and keep dirt out of the joint. Stainless steel gripper teeth restrain the OD wall of your pipe while maintaining electrical continuity—no need for pipe-locating tracer wires.
Cambridge couplings work on virtually any type pipe material; just make sure to use the appropriate range for the pipe OD. Coupling size range is conventiently cast into the side of each fitting. Stainless steel insert stiffeners are required when using with flexible plastic pipe (sold separately).
