Use this handy multitasking device for liquid chlorinating/dechlorinating, and also as a flow testing diffuser when used with a Hydro-Hitch™ Water Diffuser. Connect it directly to a 2-1/2" NST fire hydrant port or in-line to a flushing diffuser.
When using as a dechlorinator, it's easy to adjust the the amount of liquid dechlor—simply turn the thumb knob on the acrylic flow meter up or down while observing the scale. Suction flow rates of liquid dechlor range between 0.05 and 0.5 gpm. Within this range you can easily neutralize up to 50 ppm of chlorine. This device comes with two 2-1/2" glycerin-filled gauges with quick disconnects. The gauges monitor inlet and discharge pressures to ensure optimal Venturi performance.
Save time and money in the field by dechlorinating and flow testing your hydrants at the same time. Simply connect this universal liquid device to the Hydro-Hitch Water Diffuser (stock # 63285, sold separately) and you can perform both tasks at once.
You can also use this device to inject chlorine into water lines. For a hydrant connection, use a swivel adapter (stock # 63453, sold separately) to connect the male outlet end of the device to the 2-1/2" hydrant port.
