When you know the size of a service line but aren't sure about the pipe material, use Ranger fittings. Their unique compression design joins pipes of different materials, even when they have slight variances in OD. Ranger fittings are ideal for permanent repairs to cold-water potable service lines, both above and below grade. No special installation tools are needed; simply use a wrench on the flats.
Ranger rittings are compatible with copper tube, steel pipe, PVC, PEX, polybutylene and polyethylene tubing. End connections consist of a 301 stainless steel grip ring, brass friction ring, EPDM rubber gasket, and brass nut with large wrench flats. Fittings conform to NSF/ANSI 61 and AWWA C800-14 standards.
Note: insert stiffeners are required on all compression-type flexible plastic connections (sold separately).
