The MSA Altair 5X multi-gas detector raises the bar for portable gas detection. It features an ergonomic design, glove-friendly buttons, high-contrast display and an integral pump for consistent gas flow without the problems of externally attached components. Rechargeable lithium-ion battery lasts up to 20 hours, so you can use the unit over multiple shifts. Tough, functional polycarbonate housing can survive a 10-foot drop.
Use this detector to monitor O2, LEL, CO and H2S, plus a fifth toxic gas of your choice. Additional replacement sensors are available below. The internal sampling pump, 10'L sampling line and 1'L sample probe make remote sampling in confined spaces simple. In addition to standard visual, audible and vibrating alarms, this innovative detector also features InstantAlert™ and MotionAlert alarms. The InstantAlert alarm is a manually activated audible alarm that lets the operator immediately alert those nearby to potentially dangerous situations. The MotionAlert alarm automatically activates when no user motion is detected for 30 seconds, letting others know a man is down. Also the industry exclusive end-of-life warning feature saves money and aggravation by reducing instrument downtime and sensor inventory.
