These turbidimeters deliver outstanding low-level precision and sensitivity. Patented optical 360° x 90° Detection captures 90° scatter through 360° of detection for maximum accuracy. Meters deliver immediate readings, thanks to their small sample surface chamber volume—up to 98% smaller than other meters. This also makes cleaning much easier.
Sensors track internal temperature and humidity, alerting you to condensation issues. They use quick-replacement sealed vials for easy calibration. An active drying system with desiccant cartridge and air pump circulates dried air throughout the sample cell compartment.
Choose from TU5300sc low-range models or TU5400sc ultra-high precision models with increased repeatability. Both offer exceptional performance in drinking water and other high-purity water applications. All turbidimeters must be used in conjunction with a Hach digital sc200 or sc1000 controller (sold separately).
For added convenience and prevention of manual errors, choose RFID-enabled turbidimeters. Simply add RFID tags to your samples to store data and transfer information between RFID-capable TU5 instruments, including benchtop turbidimeters. These units also feature Internal System Check, which automatically checks the cleanliness and quality of the sample vial, and alerts you if the vial is missing or compromised.
All turbidimeters include: mounting bracket (fits pattern for 1720E sensors), service vial removal tool, desiccant cartridge, flow regulator valve, integral 5'L digital cable, and 500-mL bottle of 20-NTU StablCal® with syringe. TU5400sc turbidimeters also include: maintenance bracket, which stores your chamber lid and tools when you are performing routine maintenance. Bracket also sold separately (stock # 93653) for TU5300sc turbidimeters.
Note: A Hach sc200 or sc1000 digital controller (sold separately) is required to operate the turbidimeters. Calibration lid is also required; purchase separately (stock # 93661) or with maintenance kit (stock # 72855). If using Prognosys™ diagnostics system on an sc1000 controller, you must order turbidimeter with internal system check capabilities.

Accessories
Optional accessories are strongly recommended to ensure reliable results. In-line flow sensor (stock # 93652) lets you display inlet flow rate. Automatic cleaning module (stock # 93651) uses a motorized wiper that’s set to user-defined intervals (replaces the standard chamber lid).
Maintenance case/kit (stock # 72855) includes: calibration lid, StablCal sealed vials with RFID (20 and 600 NTU), glass verification rod, microfiber cloth, manual vial wiper tool, vial compartment wipers, service tool, mobile service bracket and hard carrying case.

Hach benchtop laser turbidimeters use 360° x 90° Detection, a patented optical design that captures 90° scatter through 360° of detection for maximum accuracy. This allows faster sample preparation than traditional methods, without the need for silicone oil and indexing.
Meters feature a large full-color touchscreen display, intuitive user interface and guided procedures. Multiple read modes let you see the exact data you need. Comparison mode displays both lab and process measurements (when used with the online TU5 turbidimeter as shown on facing page), and alerts you if the difference between those readings falls outside your user-defined limit. Diagnostics show the status of the lid, sample vial, condensation and fouling. Security settings let you password protect your meter settings—let anyone on the team use it without risking accidental reconfiguration.
Store up to 2000 data points with comments, and organize them in reading, verification or calibration logs for easy retrieval. Quickly view a graph of the reading, or compare logs on the instrument display. Two USB ports let you connect to a barcode scanner, keyboard, printer, USB drive or server using a LAN connection.
RFID-enabled turbidimeters allow quick and easy data transfer
For added convenience, and prevention of manual errors, choose the RFID-enabled turbidimeter (stock # 93642). Add RFID tags to your samples to store data and transfer information between RFID-capable TU5 instruments. When retrieving a process sample, hold the RFID tag near your TU5 online turbidimeter to collect the meter name, date, time and measured value. Once your sample is brought to the lab, simply hold the RFID tag near your benchtop turbidimeter to transfer the information. Then place the sample in the benchtop unit for measurement, and compare the measured values for instant validation. RFID operator ID tags also let personnel log into instruments with a swipe of their tag, and RFID labels on calibration standards let you pull up the Certificate of Analysis right on the meter.
Includes: StablCal® calibration set (10-, 20- and 600-NTU standards in sealed vials), power supply, dust cover, vial stand and user manual. 1-year warranty. For turbidimeter with RFID capabilities (stock # 93642), you must purchase RFID tags separately.
