Water lines can become over-pressurized when an elevated storage tank is out of service for maintenance. Install Watts adjustable hydrant relief valves on hydrants throughout your system to provide surge protection and relieve pressure. Smooth pilot-operated control ensures ease of use over pressure ranges from 20 to 200 psi.
Valves provide a steady discharge of up to 500 gpm. A 2" NPT(M) connection with 2-1/2” NST swivel adapter fitting lets you point the discharge in any direction. A 300 psi gauge (included) measures discharge pressure. Internal finger strainer protects the pilot operating mechanism from debris coming through the pipeline. Valves weigh just 24 lbs and feature a cast-iron body with brass and stainless internal parts; diaphragm and seat seal are Buna-N.
If you need to maintain discharge pressures below 20 psi, order the alternate 0 to 30 psi spring (stock # 30194; sold separately). To install a hose or diffuser to your valve, we offer optional adapters (sold separately).
