Stirring hot plates combine the features of both the magnetic stirrers and hot plates to provide enhanced heating and stirring performance with safety.
Magnetic stirrer functionality features a high-torque motor and powerful magnet that provides exceptional coupling with the stir bar. Microprocessor feedback speed control ensures smooth stirring.
Hot plate functionality features an easy-to-read digital display that indicates temperature, and is adjustable in 5° increments from 5 to 540°C. Flat top and high-wattage heating elements combine to provide superior heat transfer and fast time-to-boil. Hot surface alert safety system helps prevent accidental burns. A bright red warning light signals when heating surface is above 50°C. Display flashes “HOT”–“OFF” when heating is turned off, until the surface is below a cool 50°C.
Rugged low-profile cast-aluminum body provides stability and durability. White ceramic top plate is easy to clean and stands up to most chemicals in the lab. Integral ring stand accommodates a 0.5" diameter support rod (rod and clamps not included).
