Description

Use the drain diverter system along with the single-stream MCX monochloramine analyzer (sold separately) to capture used sample stream fluid when no waste drain is available. This is useful in remote installations without sanitary drains on site. The drain diverter mounts in its own satellite enclosure, and includes solenoids to switch from sample water flow to used sample fluid.

System operational theory is to split the MCX's waste stream into two paths. During normal operation, the MCX has a continuous water stream out of its drain (as well as additional flush and rinse cycles) which is reagent-free and can be discharged to a standard sanitary drain. Waste streams containing reagent (after the analyzer has performed a sample measurement) are detected by the drain diverter and redirected to a different discharge port for collection in a user-supplied vessel. Periodically haul away the vessel for proper disposal.
