Use Zenner's PMC series compound water meters for installations where you expect large variations in flow, but all-brass construction isn't required. They meet specifications required in AWWA standard C-702, and are certified low lead for use in cold water applications. Compound meters begin with a cast-iron PMT series turbine meter, and outlet spool with test port coupled to a bronze strainer. This setup protects the turbine's blades from line debris. A proportionately sized meter with bypass valve is added for recording the low flow values. Shutoff valve on low-flow line allows for continual flow during turbine meter servicing.
