GA Combo Air Vacuum Valve 1" with Throttle Valve
Description
- Air release and air/vacuum valve in the same housing
Like standard air/vacuum valves, these valves allow air to enter well piping when pump is shut down and release it when pump is turned on. However, CAVs go one step further. Once air from the column is exhausted and thevalve closes, the air release side of the CAV releases the small amounts of air that accumulate in the valve body while the system is in operation. These valves are great for well installations where you want to reduce the amount of entrained air in the water flowing from the pump before it enters the distribution system.
Valve features throttle device which allows air to enter a well column at full capacity in a vacuum situation, but provide adjustable control when air is discharged during filling. This minimizes shocks, slams and surges when the line fills and the air/vacuum valve closes.
