Product Details
  • Easy to set up—preprogrammed flumes and weirs
  • Built-in 26 million-point data logger with USB data transfer
  • Non-contacting close range sensor sees very low flows

Continuously monitor, display, totalize and datalog flow through any flume or weir! The Greyline open channel flowmeter includes a non-contacting ultrasonic sensor that mounts over a flume or weir to accurately and reliably measure rate and total flow, or level. There is no obstruction to flow and no fouling. The separate watertight electronics/display enclosure can be mounted up to 500 feet from the sensor.

The meter has an easy-to-use keypad and clear menu-driven commands. Just select your flume or weir from the pre-programmed menu and choose measurement units (gallons, liters, etc.). This meter also features a separate 12-digit totalizer, 4-20 mA output and two independently programmable SPDT relays. There are two separate displays: the larger LCD display shows rate of flow, and the smaller display shows menu, status and totalizer functions.

The PVC sensor has a short 8" minimumdeadband with laser-like accuracy, makingit excellent for trapezoidal flumes and inapplications where there are periods of very low flow. This maintenance-free sensor is designed for years of reliable service and includes 25 feet of integral standard sensor cable. Cable is extendable up to 500 feet with extra sensor cable (26486) and a sensor cable junction box (41563); both sold separately.

All models feature a standard integral 26 million-point data logger. The data logger records flows in intervals from 10 seconds to 60 minutes. Download your data to a memory stick via the front-mounted USB output. Windows®-based software is included which lets you view and graph your data and export to Excel®.

For outdoor installations powered on VAC, consider the optional surge/lightning protection box (stock # 10481). It includes two-stage voltage protectors that provide primary and secondary protection against lightning, switching and electrostatic discharges. Protection is provided on the 4-20 mA output, sensor and AC power in one convenient enclosure. Automatic reset will not interrupt service. The box mounts remotely from the flowmeter's electronics enclosure.

Tech Specs:
  • Accuracy: ±0.25% of range or 2 mm (0.08") whichever isgreater, repeatability and linearity: ±0.1%
  • Enclosure: watertight and dust tight NEMA 4X (IP 66)polycarbonate with clear, shatterproof cover
  • Operating Temp: -5 to 140°F (electronics), 40 to 150°F (sensor)
  • Datalogging: 26-million point logger with USB output and Windows® software
  • Power: 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz
  • Output: isolated 4-20 mA, 2 SPDT 5A relays
  • Sensor Range: 15' max. (model PZ15)
  • Sensor mounting: rear-facing 3/4" NPT threads
  • Sensor cable length: 25 feet
