Description

Product Details
  • Sterile and ready to use

Hach prepared media eliminate the measuring, mixing, and autoclaving needed when preparing dehydrated media. Ampoules are designed with large openings that allow media to pour out easily. Each ampoule contains enough media for one test. Select the media type that is appropriate for detecting total coliform, fecal coliform or E. coli. Colonies that grow on presumptive media may need to be confirmed to meet reporting regulations.

m-HPC (heterotrophic plate count) estimates the number of live heterotrophic bacteria in water. High concentrations of the general bacterial population may hinder the recovery of coliforms. This test is also useful in judging the efficiency of various treatment processes for both drinking water and swimming pools, and for checking the quality of finished water in a distribution system.

All items require refrigeration upon receipt.
