The JCM 242 Optimum Range Couplings feature a mechanical compression joint that joins two pieces of pipe. This stress-relieving flexible joint eliminates precise cutting and fitting in the field, while allowing for deflection, expansion, contraction and pipe settlement.
The 242 couplings are offered in a wide range of sizes. One coupling fits SDR35, IPS, PVC, C-900, ductile iron, steel, cast iron and A/C pipe classes 100, 150 and 200.
Choose from two coatings. The shop coat primer paint is corrosion resistant, while the fusion-applied epoxy coat meets AWWA standard C-213, and provides maximum durability in all soils. Both feature Buna-N gaskets, making them perfect for water, sewer, salt solution, or mild acid applications.
