Identify the presence and relative concentration of organics in water with the Real Tech UV254 UV Meter. Ideal for both water and wastewater applications, this easy-to-use portable meter quickly delivers accurate, repeatable measurements.
Meter measures either UV transmittance (UVT) or absorbance (UVA) with the flip of a switch. UVT shows you how much light is not scattered or absorbed by particulates and organics in a water column. You can use this information to monitor the efficiency of your UV system, verify your system's existing UV monitor or help determine the size UV system you need.
UVA at 254 nm indicates the concentration of potentially problematic aromatic organic matter in your source water, as well as potential for disinfection by-product (DBP) formation. Changes in the level of organics in your water also affects how much polymer you need for an efficient process.
Unit features calibration memory, so there's no need to calibrate before each use. Self diagnostics alert you to any malfunction. Meter also features a rugged, water-tight enclosure and backlit LED display.
