Thomas oil-less air compressors are an excellent choice for supplying makeup air in hydro-pneumatic tanks. The oil-less design eliminates need for oil separators and special filters. They run continuously at maximum rated psi at ambient temperature ranges from 32 to 104°F. Standard ODP ball bearing-equipped 56C frame motors come with 8 ft cords for 115 VAC service. However, the motors can be hardwired on site to run on 230V single phase. All motors have internal thermal protection and are UL listed.
These Thomas compressors come with 50-micron air filters, check valves and safety valves set at 15 psi above maximum pressure rating. An internal unloading mechanism is standard, which enables the compressor to be started against a load 2 minutes after shutdown. Connections are 1/4" NPT.
You will need to provide a pressure switch to operate compressors in conjunction with a hydro-pneumatic tank. We recommend the Mercoid® pressure switches.
