The advanced Ohaus Explorer balance simplifies the most complex lab measurements, and eliminates the need for time-consuming manual calculations and data logging. It provides accurate results within seconds—use it for solids testing and so much more. Each balance features 14 customizable programs including filling, totalization, formulation, ingredient costing, pipette adjustment, differential weighing and statistical quality control.
Access the intuitive software through a touchscreen full-color VGA graphic display for easy setup and operation. Clear instructional messaging guides you through the weighing process. Use the virtual QWERTY and numeric keypads to quickly input your GLP data. The color touchscreen can be separated from the weighing base to customize your lab space.
Four touchless sensors provide hands-free operation for common procedures, which minimizes contamination and accidently jarring the balance. Assign these sensors to Zero, Print, Tare or Calibrate functions.
Internal AutoCAL feature automatically calibrates the balance to ensure performance—there's no need for external masses. Set the balance to perform a self-calibration when there is a temperature change that may affect accuracy, or every 11 hours. Different levels of user lockout keep your settings safe when others use the balance. Easy-access communication ports include standard USB and RS-232.
Draftshield is constructed of anti-static glass, and features a flip-top design and expansive side entry to easily move your sample in and out of the weighing chamber. Draftshield light lets you see your sample in low-light areas. The integral weigh-below hook is useful for below-balance weighing applications.
