(OR) Phosphate Test Kit 0.5-10 ppm, 50 Tests Lamotte
Description
- Measures orthophosphate levels
- For process control testing only
Phosphates enter water supplies from soil runoff, water treatment and sewage. Although necessary for aquatic plant growth, too much phosphate will cause excessive growth. Phosphates exist in multiple forms: ortho- (reactive phosphate), meta- or poly- (condensed phosphate) and organic phosphate (phosphonates). This kit measures phosphate in its ortho- (reactive) form only. If you are required to measure total phosphate you must perform a digestion to convert meta-, poly-, and organic phosphates into the ortho- form prior to taking a measurement. See stock # 31691 for a kit to assist you with this. (LaMotte 3114).
The replacement reagent refill contains LaMotte's Phosphate Acid Reagent (V-6282-H, 60-mL), Phosphate Reducing Reagent (V-6283-C, 5g) and Demineralizer Bottle (R-1151, 60-mL).
Note: This test should only be run on clear samples.
