Use the EBAA Iron Megacoupling to join and restrain two plain end pipes of the same or dissimilar materials. Installation is simple—when you connect two pipes together‚ the specially designed twist-off nuts break off at the required torque. This ensures proper axial restraint without damaging the pipe‚ and eliminates the need for expensive torque wrenches. You can still easily dismantle couplings with the remaining 5/8" nut.
The wedge gasket provides excellent sealing around ductile iron‚ PVC‚ steel or HDPE pipe. Patented Mega-Bond® coating system offers excellent corrosion resistance. The coupling has up to 5° deflection. Couplings meet or exceed AWWA C219‚ ASTM A536‚ ANSI/AWWA C111/A21.11‚ ASTM D2000 and NSF 61.
