Description

Product Details
  • Waterproof to 328 feet (100 m)
  • Easy-to-maintain RDO® Basic optical DO sensor technology
  • No membranes or electrolyte to replace

Measure and record dissolved oxygen and temperature in underwater environments. This data logger features a highly accurate RDO Basic (Rugged Dissolved Oxygen) optical DO sensor. Maintenance is minimal—simply replace the DO sensor cap every six months. The optic USB interface lets you offload data in the field, even when the logger is wet. With a long-life lithium battery and operating temperature as low as 23°F, this logger keeps on logging even in harsh conditions.

Choose between a base station or shuttle for data transfer. The Optic USB Base Station allows direct transfer of data from the logger to your PC via a USB cable. Shuttles are a convenient and portable way to read out data from multiple loggers in the field for transport to a desktop PC. Choose from a standard shuttle for indoor/outdoor use, or a waterproof model that can also be used underwater at depths up to 66 feet (20 m).

Loggers also require HOBOware Pro Software (stock # 10045) for data analysis and shuttle setup. It includes tools to read in percent saturation and compensate for water with high salinity content. HOBO Water Level Data Logger (stock # 19460) is required to log barometric pressure for calculating percent saturation. HOBO Conductivity/Salinity Data Logger (stock # 19449) is highly recommended to compensate for salinity changes.

Includes: battery, DO sensor cap, standard protective guard, and calibration boot with sponge.

Tech Specs:
  • Range: full: 0 to 30 mg/L; calibrated: 0 to 20 mg/L; 32 to 95°F (0 to 35°C)
  • Accuracy: ±0.2 mg/L up to 8 mg/L; ±0.5 mg/L from 8 to 20 mg/L
  • Resolution: 0.02 mg/L
  • DO sensor cap life: 7 months; replacement recommended every 6 months
  • Sample interval: 1 minute to 18 hours
