Description

Product Details
  • Use in lakes, reservoirs, wastewater treatment lagoons, clarifiers and sedimentation basins
  • Choose from models with 360° or bidirectional coverage
  • AC- and solar-powered systems available

These environmentally-friendly systems use ultrasonic waves to disable most blue-green and green algal growth cycles and prohibit biofilm growth—no chemicals required. In source water applications, they reduce the potential for harmful algal blooms; help increase filter run times; reduce chlorine usage, THMs and HAAs; and improve water taste and odor. In wastewater treatment lagoons, they help maintain healthy DO levels to ensure adequate treatment, and prevent odor problems and high TSS.

Easy to install and maintain, the system consists of your choice of transducer and power supply.

Transducer Options: Quattro-DB transducers emit multiple ultrasonic frequencies and provide 360° coverage with just one transducer. Range of coverage depends on algae type: blue-green algae, up to 120 surface acres; green algae, up to 17 surface acres; biofilm and diatoms, up to 2.8 surface acres per transducer.

Mezzo-DB transducers use two frequency ranges: one for green algae and the other for blue-green algae. They emit ultrasonic waves to the front and behind the transducer, covering 75 meters in each direction—ideal for narrow bodies of water. Transducers include: warning/position flag, buoy and chain. 3-year warranty.

Power Supply Options: Choose from AC power or solar power. Both are safe, low-current options and feature a 2-year warranty. AC power supply systems accept 85-264 VAC and feature a North American-style plug (other plug styles are available). They power up to two transducers. Solar power panels/controllers power two or more transducers. Choose from land- or water-based options. Land-based systems include a vertical array of solar panels and a solar controller. Water-based systems include a SolaRaft solar pontoon, solar controller, warning flag and navigation beacon.

Note: A basic system consisting of a single Mezzo transducer, AC power supply and cable starts at about $3,200. Anchor requirements vary by application and must be sourced locally.
