Rycom Stick & Cable Locator Receiver Only
Description
- Dual frequencies—82 kHz and 8 Khz
- Lightweight aluminum housing—receiver weighs only 3 lbs!
The Rycom Stick pipe and cable locator utilizes state-of-the-art Pathfinder technology for optimum accuracy and protection against interference. The lightweight, well-balanced receiver features an LCD screen that displays relative signal strength (sensitivity setting) as a bar graph. It also shows the actual signal coming off the conductor as a numerical value 0 to 99. Also displayed are the mode/frequency setting and a low-battery icon. Receiver keypad features an on/off button, frequency/mode button and an up/down gain button.
The unit's 82-kHz and 8 Khz frequencies offer increased signal strength over shorter distances, as well as three modes of signal application: direct connection, inductive tracing and sonde location. Inductive tracing is ideal where applications require a blind search, or where you're lacking an area to connect to. Simply place the transmitter over the targeted utility to send the signal.
Direct connection is always the most accurate and effective locating method. It ensures maximum signal to the utility with minimal bleed off. Connect the transmitter directly to the utility using the included grounding clips, or use the optional clamp coupler (stock # 78802). Sonde location is performed using the unit's second active frequency, 8 Khz. This frequency is typically found in camera heads for easy location. Optional sondes for push cables are available as special order. Contact USABlueBook for more information.
Receiver includes: carrying case, batteries and manual.
- Frequencies: 82.315 kHz and 8 Khz
- Depth Reading: triangulation method
- Left/Right Guidance: variable-pitch response
- Batteries: six AA batteries, 82-hour life
