Hach's handheld TSS Portable provides convenient, accurate measurement of turbidity and solids in aqueous media. It is ideal for remote monitoring in wastewater and drinking water, as an optimization tool for monitoring processes, or as an easy way to calibrate or validate online sensors.
The TSS Portable features a unique multibeam alternating light method with infrared diode system, which gives it a broad measuring range for both turbidity and suspended solids. The included sensing probe uses a 90-degree light-scattering method of measurement for turbidity, and multiple-angle modified absorption to determine solids. It features a 33-foot cable, which is marked every meter for use in determining sludge blanket depth.
Simple Calibration with Stored Memory
Easily move to different locations and types of sludge without recalibration. The TSS Portable lets you store up to four different calibration curves for suspended solids and assign them to specific locations. Each calibration curve uses up to three points (plus a zero value) to allow adjustment to closely match separate laboratory results.
The TSS Portable features a factory-set calibration curve for turbidity. Internal software automatically compensates for air bubbles to prevent influence on measurements.
