Use these Val-Matic valves in sewage lines to release destructive air pockets that lower flow rates and cause surges. Their clog-free design features an expanded, sloped bottom and a 2" cleanout to help the passage of solids. An extended body allows enough space to keep media away from the operating mechanism. These high-quality valves feature SS floats and rugged cast-iron construction, ensuring years of maintenance-free operation.
While Val-Matic valves will minimize the effects of wastewater and grease in your lines, they will not completely eliminate the problem. For applications that often experience clogging, choose valves that include a backwash system. For these applications, you'll need a clean water supply that's at least 1" in diameter, with a minimum pressure of 30 psi. Backwash system includes: a shutoff valve, fittings and a rubber hose.
Valves with optional coatings are available as special order. Choose from fusion-coated epoxy or Teflon®. Both provide smoother passage of materials, discouraging potential clogging. The epoxy coating is used in traditional wastewater applications, and the Teflon coating is perfect in applications with high grease concentrations. Contact USABlueBook for details.
