Wachs Compact LX Gas-Powered Valve Maintenance Trailer, 2300-lb Operating Weight, 79-000-25
Description
- Narrow and lightweight—ideal where large trailers and trucks can't go
This affordable compact trailer is built to perform valve exercising where there's no need for vacuum excavation or power washout. It's ideal for narrow city streets and alleys, fragile or forested landscapes, and other areas a large, heavy trailer can't go. The complete trailer weighs less than 1400 lbs and measures 63"W x 105"L, making it easy to pull with a light-duty vehicle.
The trailer features a powerful ERV-750 extended-reach valve operator mounted on a pivoting, telescoping arm. The valve operator can reach valves up to 13 feet from the curb side of the trailer, and provides up to 750 ft-lbs of torque. An auxiliary hydraulic unit with 10-gallon reservoir powers the ERV-750 (or other HTMA Class II hydraulic tools).
The trailer includes a handheld HC-100 controller with GPS to facilitate operation and datalogging. The controller features a sunlight-readable 4.3" LCD touchscreen interface, and stores up to 8 GB of valve data. It's compatible with Wachs VITALS® software (free download). This software lets you set torque limits to prevent damaging your valves, and records infrastructure details including location, valve-operating direction and torque applied.
This rugged trailer is continuous-duty rated for 8 gpm at 1800 psi. It features a 16-hp Briggs & Stratton V-Twin engine with electric start. A storage area under the trailer decking holds valve keys (a 4- to 9-ft telescoping valve key is included).
