These backwater valves feature a replaceable PVC flapper with EPDM gasket that insures a watertight seal while allowing unrestricted flow through the valve. Backwater valves are not rated for pressure service, but they can withstand 10 psi (23 Ft H20). Each valve features a removable large diameter, top-mounted threaded cap for visual inspection or cleaning and Sch 40 DWV connections. The 3" and 4" valves are available with 16" high riser pipes with caps installed. You can make a riser for the 6" backwater valve using a length of 10" Sch 40 pipe and a cap sourced locally.
